The Idea - Starting with The Clinic (aka consultations)

I have always loved working on my lawn, and more then that, looking for new ways to improve it, seeds, fertilizers, and anything else I could find information on. Over time my knowledge increased, I took classes at Guelph Turfgrass Institute and I learned what worked, and what didn't for Canadian lawns. From there I started to think about ways I could improve other lawns like I improved mine.

Even though my own lawn was looking good, I could see countless others where the owners had the desire for a better lawn, but needed a little help figuring out what they needed to do. That was the idea behind The Clinic. I wanted to offer a service where I provided DIYers with that little bit of knowledge they needed to get the lawns of their dreams.

The clinic is now much smaller but it is still available in a small region. If you are interested just reach out and lets talk.

Adding Elite Seed and Professional Fertilizers

While I began helping others learn more about their lawns, and how to improve them I realized I was missing a major part of the story, products. When telling customers what they should do, the next question was always "where can I get that?". That was the beginning of the growth of The Lawn Medic to the Canadian source of Elite Grass Seed and Professional Fertilizers it is today. It was time for me to search for the products that I knew Canadian lawns needed.

Through this search I was able to source truly elite grass seed that was made to work in Canada. On top of that I have been able to offer professional level fertilizers that just aren't offered at big box stores or nurseries. These are the products being used on golf courses and professional sports fields, and they can set your lawn apart from the others.

Making it Easy

Even if we had the best products, we needed to make sure they were accessible. This meant offering smaller packaging sizes for different sizes lawns across our full range of elite seed options.

On top of that we decided to develop full season fertilizer programs. These programs were made to be as simple as possible, empty the bag from the easy to follow schedule, apply, and watch your lawn improve. No more guessing or measuring.

But we also wanted to go further, offering information on seeds and fertilizers to help our customers make informed choices with our seed and fertilizer guides.
